There is an increasing need for scientists and technical experts to learn to communicate effectively with the public, and at the same time, for communicators to learn about the science and technology behind what they write. There is also a pressing need for the American public to learn about how our consumer choices impact the world’s natural resources. We created the new graduate class “Going Green: Research, Writing and Reporting to the Public” to address these needs.
